Recently my research was highlighted on the Institute for Education Science’s (IES) blogpost. IES is the research wing of the U.S. Department of Education. In my work at the university I’ve been fortunate to received funding for three research grants from IES to improve instruction for English learning students in middle schools, to develop online training for teachers using data during intervention assistance team meetings, and even online training for teachers on how to integrate visual arts into the classroom to teach evidence-based thinking and writing for students across the content areas. My research interests are vast and often reflect the interests and needs of teachers and principals I’ve worked with over the years.
